The other day it warmed up to about 35 degrees. We were so overjoyed that the ice could actually melt, we went outside!!! We strapped on our snowboots, trekked through the slush on the Rock Island Trail, saw a few squirrels and a bunny, and watched the sunset. Our boogs didn't freeze at all!! We almost called it "warm out", but then we realized that it was still under forty, and felt like it was twenty-something. Hopefully it's a sign that winter won't last too much longer, and ice will stop building up on the inside of our windows.
We finished out the night by tromping through Petsmart in our boots looking at the chinchillas, and then went to Toys-R-Us to get a puzzle to pass the time. Hurray for winter!
This was not advertised in the apartment pamphlets, and this is our bedroom window. It's double-paned and supposedly energy efficient. I think the Saints were blessed to make it to Utah.
