Little kids screaming and yelling

So we just got a new calling at church. It will involve a test of fortitude never before required of us, and will likely bring us to the brink of sanity (and hopefully back). We will be nursery workers. Little kids: do your worst! (Tiff can take you, no problem)

What could be better than playing Ring Around the Rosies and London Bridges with a bunch of kids? If you don't like it I can think of worse....like being the Branch President and Primary President at the same time.
You'll have fun, I know it!

Good luck! Sometimes the screams resonate in your ear. Megan's a nursery worker and here's here story:So today in nursery, I was on snot patrol 'cause this kid Emerson is sick and refused to blow his nose into anything but his hands. Gross. For a side note, if your kids are sick, don't put them in nursery. So every five minutes I would get a Kleenex and track this kid down, put him into a headlock (he also hated his face being wiped), and wipe his nose. I used a lot of hand sanitizer today. There's this other kid Elliot who's way cute, and he starts crying whenever we sing "I Am a Child of God." That's the song his mom sings to him right before bed, so poor Elliot thinks it's time for bed every time we sing it.

Good luck. I have to admit that's the one calling I don't ever want. Primary in general is the black hole...you never hear any announcements and you never meet anyone. But Nursery is worse. But I'm grateful for the nursery and what they've been teaching EM. I've been impressed.

Oh wow....good luck. I am in Nursery now and its feels like I have been in there forever. Despite being in the ward for 2 years, I still have people ask us if we are new in the ward! Hopefully they let you rotate so that you can attend other meetings occasionally.

Think of the positives, like snack time. All the gold fish and animal crackers you can eat just when those familar church hunger pangs hit.
One warning though, everyone I know gets pregnant while serving in nursery!

You guys will have the best of times in the NURSERY. I have a favorite song called "Snack Time". Everyone's favorite time in nursery. I know the little kids will love you. Look OUT!!! Nursery will never be the same!!!!! Mom B.

Nursery ROCKS! I loved it when Diana was in the nursery in our student ward. I helped her out every chance I could get. Little kids are the best, especially when you only have them for an hour or two and then you give them back to their parents!
