The Love-Cactus

We call this our love cactus. We got it on the honeymoon and it barely survived the trip to Peoria (see our first post for the story). We're using it as preparation for parenthood. We figure if we can't keep a cactus alive, we may need to wait on children.

We bought a cactus on our honeymoon too! It's dead now. It's been dead for quite a number of years. On the other hand, we're still married and our kids seem pretty healthy. I still have the pot the cactus came in, though I'm not sure where it is right now.

I have killed every plant I've ever had within a few months. Noah is almost a year old however. I'm beginning to think kids are more durable than plants. But plants are a good trial-run.

Well, now you know why Ryan didn't have the reverence for that cactus like you did. Good Job on resurrecting it. Mom B.
